Pages and Posts

WHAT ARE PAGES AND POSTS

WordPress comes with two default content types called Pages and Posts. By default, WordPress shows your blog posts on the front page of your website. You can change that, and make WordPress show any page as the front-page of your website. Posts are part of a blog and appear in reverse-chronological order on your website's Home Page. Your website Home Page can also be composed of a unique landing page. Pages are meant to be static type content such as your about page, contact page, privacy policy, etc.

HOW TO ADD PAGES AND POSTS

First you need to provide a title for your page/post. After that, you can add content in the text editor below. You can add text, links, images, embed videos, audio, etc. *If you have a custom page builder like Divi, Beaver, Elementor, etc. The page will ask you if you want to use your custom builder or the default WordPress Editor. For this example, I will be showing the 'Default Editor': https://d.pr/v/yqnz3M *video has no sound

After adding content to your page, you can click on the publish button to make it live on your website. You can also choose to publish it privately and/or schedule when it will go live: https://d.pr/i/XizC7R *video has no sound

You can click on the save button to store your post as a draft or click on the publish button to make it visible on your site.

You can repeat the process by adding more pages/posts for different sections of your website. For example, an about page, contact us, and a blog page to display blog posts.
